FREDERICKTOWN – A member of the Fredericktown Board of Education was one of 28 board members statewide to receive the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Aptitude Award this year.
Todd McClay received the award Sept. 22 during the Ohio School Boards Association’s Central Region Fall Conference in Columbus.
To receive this award, board members must score at least 80% in an online test covering six leadership areas: vision, accountability, policy, community engagement, relationships and advocacy. Of the approximate 3,400 school board members in Ohio, only 28 received the honor in 2021.
Founded in 1955, the Ohio School Boards Association leads the way to educational excellence by serving Ohio’s public school board members and the diverse districts they represent through superior service, unwavering advocacy and creative solutions.
