The Mount Vernon Nazarene men's and women's bowling teams have begun their seasons. | MVNU

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s and women's bowling teams attended Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament No.1 at Palace Lanes in Columbus on Saturday, Oct. 2.

For the Lady Cougars, freshman Paige Hicks was the lead-off bowler during the four regular tenpin games. She finished 27th overall and had highlight games of 185 and 159. While the ladies only averaged a 135 during their baker games, they did have a few standout games with a 150, 155, 161, and a 186 among their 16.

For the men's team, freshman Luke Jahn was the lead-off bowler during the four regular tenpin games. He finished 25th overall and had highlight games of 180, 180, and 194, averaging 175.5.

Going into baker games, the men were averaging 154.4, but they struggled during bakers. Their baker average was only 137.6, but they did have a few standout games with a 171, 176, and a 185 among their 16.
