No New Bridge

Well the 2021 summer is almost over and we still have no bridge.

It's been almost a year and all that's happened is a few trees have been cut down, the bridge blocked, and some holes to find bedrock done.

Enough already. Every day I see as many as six county trucks going toward Centerburg. I've heard their putting in new culverts.

My neighbors had to close their vegetable stand because of the extra driving distance causing a hardship.

They've heard rumors that the new bridge will be done in spring of 2022. I'll believe it when I see it.

One thing I believe is, if the county engineer or some government worker lived on my road the bridge would have been down 30 days and the road balck-topped at least as far as their house. But since my neighbors or I are neither, tough luck. It'll get done sometime in the next 10 years maybe, but I doubt it.
