The Kenyon College Lords are ranked in the top 10 teams in the NCAA Division III United Soccer Coaches' national preseason poll.
The last time the Lords took the field was in November of 2019, when they ranked No. 10 in the poll
The Lords would go on to finish in the 10th spot when the season ended, sporting a 19-2-2 record and making a run into the third round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Ahead of the Lords was Montclair State University, the squad that ended the Lords’ 2019 season, at No. 8, along with No. 9 Messiah College, who went 18-3-2 in 2019 and 4-0-0 in its abbreviated 2020 season.
In-state rivals Ohio Wesleyan University and John Carroll University – two respected powerhouses – are ranked No. 13 and No. 20, respectively.
Kenyon will begin its 2021 season at home against John Carroll and will travel to Ohio Wesleyan in a conference contest in mid-October.
The top five are Tufts University at No. 1, No. 2 Amherst College, No. 3 Calvin University, No. 4 Centre College and No. 5 Luther College.
