NORMAN, Okla. – For the seventh consecutive season, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) tabbed at least two Kenyon College Lords as Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.

With the announcement, made Friday, recent graduate Lawrence Courtney and rising senior Nick Lust both claimed the honor for the second time in as many seasons.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual had to be a junior or senior academically, had to compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, had to participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds while maintaining a stroke average under 79.0 and had to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20.

On the course this past season, Courtney and Lust, as well as the rest of the Lords, played a shortened schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In all, the Lords played three dual matches and then went right into the two-round North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. Spanning those five rounds, Lust posted a team-best 74.80 scoring average, while Courtney posted a 75.60 average. Lust was the top scorer in one of Kenyon's dual meets and Courtney was best in the other two. Both went on two earn All-NCAC honors following the championship.

Prior to those two individual awards, it was announced last week that the 2020-21 Kenyon squad picked up the GCAA All-Academic Team Award for eighth straight season and the GCAA Presidents Special Recognition for the second straight season.
