MOUNT VERNON – A $59,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration will help fund operations, cleaning and debt service payments for the Knox County Airport.
The FAA awarded the economic relief funds to the Knox County Commissioners and the Knox County Airport Authority, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said on his website.
“These investments will help to ensure the safety of Northeast Ohio airports for passengers for years to come,” Brown said.
The funds will be used cover costs related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments and combating the spread of pathogens at the local airport.
