MOUNT VERNON – Sharon L. Collins, 62, of Mount Vernon passed away on July 21, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 20, 1958, to Sonny and Donna (Frazee) McGrew in Mount Vernon.
Sharon was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She enjoyed cooking and traveling with her grandchildren. She loved the beach and was always planning her next trip to Florida to visit her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren!
She is survived by her husband Chris Collins Sr.; her children Chris Collins Jr. of Howard, James Collins of Mount Vernon, Eva (Ty) Haupert of Lithia, FL; grandchildren Taylor, Kylie, Alexis, Carson, Landon; a sister Theresa (Jeff) Shanyfelt of Mount Vernon; and many extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family (Chris Collins, 253 Lakeview Heights Dr., Howard, OH 43028) to assist with medical bills and final expenses.
Calling hours will be on July 27, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Lasater Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on July 28 at 11 a.m. at the Lasater Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Moundview Cemetery.
