MOUNT VERNON – To accommodate an arts and crafts exhibit for the Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival, the Aug. 14 Mount Vernon Farmers Market will relocate from the Public Square to the CA&C Depot at 501 South Main St. from 9 a.m. to noon.
This is a change of venue for one week only.
There will be plenty of parking in the CA&C lot just off South Main Street. The market returns to the Public Square on Aug. 21 and for the rest of the market season each Saturday morning through Oct. 30.
The market thanks the Chamber of Commerce, the Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Main Street Mount Vernon, which occupies the depot, for accommodating the market Aug. 14. Look for farmers and vendors on the lawn behind the building, which is adjacent to the viaduct. Check the market’s Facebook and Instagram pages for that week’s vendor lineup and to see what is in season.
