SPARTA – The Highland football team is hosting a youth camp from July 25-27. The Operation 11 Football Camp is a skills camp scheduled from 6-8 p.m. for students from third- through eighth-grade. It features offense and defense individual techniques; a specialty section for kicking, punting and long snapping; a form tackling session and a seven-on-seven game as well as other contests.
Athletes are asked to wear a t-shirt and shorts and cleats, if possible, or tennis shoes. They are also asked to bring their own water jug.
The camp, run by Highland football coach Ty Stover, teaches the same techniques taught to the varsity team.
