MOUNT VERNON – Heather Anne Frary, 50, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday evening, May 16, 2021, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 29, 1970, in Mount Vernon to Thomas Frary and the late Candace (Horlacher) Frary Snell.
Heather was the March of Dimes poster child for Knox County in 1974. She graduated in 1988 from Mansfield Senior High School. She was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. For the past 15 years, Heather was a resident of the Whispering Hills Care Center.
Heather is survived by her father, Thomas (Donna) Frary of Chesterton, Indiana; sisters, April Baker, Crystal Snell, Robyn Sheriff and Amanda Frary; a brother, Nicholas Snell; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road in Mount Vernon; where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 24, with Mr. Roger Marra officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
