DANVILLE – A regular meeting of the Danville Board of Education will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 17, in the Administration Building.

  a. Accept a letter of resignation from Candis Kester, J.H. Social Studies Teacher, effective at the end of the 2020/2021 school year. (See Addendum) 

  b. Accept a letter of resignation from Benjamin Durbin, H.S. Science Teacher, effective at the end of the 2020/2021 school year. (See Addendum) 

  c. Rescind Dean of Students/District School Improvement Coordinator Contract for Robert Miller for 2021/2022 school year. 

  d. Approve amended Salary Schedule for the 2021/2022 school year. (See addendum) 

  e. Approve a two-year contract for Robert Miller as Dean of Students/Athletic Director for the 2021/2022 school year per adopted salary schedule. 

  f. Employ Rochelle Adam and Jennifer Woods on an as-needed basis for the 2021 summer months per their hourly salary rate. 

  g. Employ Tierany Lyons as JH/HS Art Teacher for the 2021/2022 school year per adopted salary schedule. 

  h. Employ Monica Magers as full-time cafeteria for the 2021/2022 school year per adopted salary schedule. 

  i. Approve Cody Straub for FMLA effective 5/4/21 for 45 days for the 2020/2021 school year. 

  j. Approve all substitute teachers as approved by Timm Mackley, Superintendent of Knox ESC, for the 2020/2021 school year. 

  k. Approve one dock day for Rosemary Helmick, Bus Driver and 2.5 dock days for Tara Bond, Principal. 

  l. Approve a contract with the Knox ESC for payment of services beginning Aug. 1, 2021, through July 31, 2022, with an additional 4% administration fee.

  m. Approve a Master Service Agreement with Direct Energy for electricity, effective May 6, 2021, for the period of July 2022 through July 2025. 

  n. Approve the Jump Start Program for incoming Kindergarten students on Aug. 2 through Aug. 6, 2021. Staff reports from 8 a.m. to noon. Students attend from 9 a.m. to noon. 

  o. Employ Andrea Staats as a teacher for the 2021 Jump Start Program at a rate of $24 per hour. 

  p. Approve Property, Liability and Fleet Insurance effective July 1, 2021, through SORSA with Payne and Brown Insurance Agency at a premium cost of $41,449, a $2,315 increase. The following adult groups organized solely for the support of school programs are endorsed by the Danville Board of Education and are covered by the district’s liability policy: Danville Band Boosters, Danville Academic Boosters, Danville Athletic Boosters and Danville Parent-Teacher Organization. 

  q. Approve the Preschool Fee of $20 per student, K–6 Elementary fee of $25 per student and 7–12 High School course fees for the 2021/2022 school year. (See  Addendums) 

  r. Approve the following NEOLA Revisions/Deletions/Additions: 

  Revised Policy 3414 Sick and Personal Leave Refund, Revised Policy 4414 Sick and Personal Leave Refund, Revised Policy 4432 Sick Leave 

  s. Approve a bus to transport Royal Family Kids Camp students from the North Bend Church to the Inspiration Hills Camp on July 12, 2021, and return students on July 16, 2021.
