MOUNT VERNON – Knox Public Health is conducting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic every Wednesday at the Mount Vernon Energy Fieldhouse from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until all vaccine is distributed.
Approximately 500 doses of vaccine will be available at each clinic.
Currently, vaccination is open to those age 40 and older and those with certain medical conditions or job classifications as designated for Phases 1A through 1E. These clinics are open to anyone in Knox County and surrounding counties.
The Wednesday clinics are walk-in accessible; no appointment is needed. For those with mobility issues, curbside vaccination is available by notifying the parking attendant when you arrive at the clinic.
Clinic attendees need to bring a photo ID and a copy of their insurance card. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine.
The Mount Vernon Energy Fieldhouse is located on the south side of Mount Vernon at 101 Yellow Jacket Drive.
Vaccine consent forms are available on the health department website (knoxhealth.com) or can be picked up at any time at the health department, located at 11660 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Having a completed consent form prior to arriving at the clinic expedites the check-in process but is not necessary as there will be plenty of consent forms on site.
