DANVILLE – The recycling bins serviced by Rumpke have been returned to Danville.

Six bins are located at Memorial Park past the football stadium and softball field. They can be accessed by turning onto Tough Street and heading toward the Danville Head Start. The bins will be under video surveillance provided by the Village of Danville.

The return of the bins has been made possible through a partnership of Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention, the DKMM Solid Waste District, the Village of Danville, Danville High School’s environmental science classes and Rumpke Recycling. A full list of recycling locations and addresses can be found online at DKMM.org.

As the Mount Vernon News reported in April of 2020, the bins were removed due to issues related to site maintenance.

For more information, contact Matt Baugher, program manager for Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention, at 740-393-6704.
