MOUNT VERNON – Judith A. Hunnicut, 75, of Mount Vernon, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, with her loving family at her side. She was born on Aug. 10, 1945, in Mount Vernon to the late Ralph and Marion (Scott) Seavolt.
Judith was a Mount Vernon High School graduate and played horse cricket as a teenager. She enjoyed watching the "Andy Griffith" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" TV shows. Judith also enjoyed golfing and playing bingo, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her family and extended family.
She is survive by her son, Fred Hunnicut; her daughter, Stephanie Bowling; four grandchildren, Candice (Sean) King, Carmen (Mike) Longmire, Sarah (Tye Clark) Bowling and Joel Bowling; three great-grandchildren, Charlie Longmire, Owen Longmire and Jacklyn Clark; her brother, John (Janis) Seavolt; her sister, Virginia Hagans; her canine companions, Teddy and Sasha; and her feline companion, Sandy.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hunnicut; brothers, Gene and Derel Seavolt; and a sister, Bertrice Horlacher.
In keeping with Judith’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date.
