MOUNT VERNON – Leslie J. Bastendorf of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. She was born on April 8, 1951, in Mount Vernon to Eugene Marchal Jr. and Norma (Walker) Marchal.
Leslie graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1969. She married Michael Bastendorf on Oct. 8, 1980, in Columbus.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Christopher; daughter, Chelsea; her brother, Timothy (Linda); her father and step-mother, Eugene and Dorothy Marchal; and several step-siblings, aunts and cousins.
Leslie was preceded in death by her mother; step-mother, Dottie; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and a cousin.
A remembrance of life will take place later in Maryland.
