MOUNT VERNON – Marjorie M. Curry, 84, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 23, 1936, in Mount Vernon, to the late Noah and Martina (O’Brien) Tindall.
Marjorie was a faithful member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired from Sprint. Marjorie was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Meghan) Curry of Mount Vernon, Robert (Jackie) Curry of Centerburg, Theresa (Robert) Johnson of Edgewater, Florida, and Amy (Pat) Mickley of Howard; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Lee Ann Crider of Mount Vernon; brother, James (Helen) Tindall of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews, who adored her.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, James A. “Bud” Curry in 1996; a sister, Margaret Reese; a brother, Charles “Donnie” Tindall; and a nephew, David Tindall.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St. in Mount Vernon. The Rosary will be recited following the visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Daniel Olvera as the Celebrant. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed. Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bud, in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
