MOUNT VERNON – George “Bill” Wolfe Jr., “Wolfie,” 75, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1945, in Mount Vernon, the son of George and Ellen (Loveridge) Wolfe Sr.
Bill was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his son, Rob (Jennifer) Wolfe of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Natasha Angel and Paula Rettig; and a sister, Carolyn (Steve) Harsney of Mount Vernon.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Lynn Wolfe; and a grandson, Doug Angel.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, in Liberty Chapel Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Marvin Haught will be officiating.
