MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Career Center recently announced that this year’s annual basket auction to support Food For The Hungry (FFTH) will be held virtually.
The themed baskets being offered would make a good Christmas gift for a friend, loved one or sports fan.
Visitors can view the 10 themed gift baskets up for auction online at www.32auctions.com/kcccffth2020. Interested parties can participate in the silent auction by creating an account and bidding on their favorite gift basket. There is no obligation to bid or buy by signing up for an account. The web site will be regularly updated with the current bidding prices.
Bidding is scheduled to end at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11. Winning bidders will be announced live at 3:30 p.m. the same day on the Food For The Hungry broadcast, which will be livestreamed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at www.mvnu.tv. Radio broadcasting is also available on 1300 WMVO and 100.9 FM.
FFTH has set a collection goal of $240,000 for the 2020 campaign in response to rising need across Knox County as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations for FFTH can be made online or in-person at one of 12 Knox County collection points.
