FREDERICKTOWN – Nancy L. Young, 84, of Fredericktown, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at her residence. She was born on Oct.14, 1936, in Mount Vernon, to the late Fred and Opal (Jacob) Stout.

Nancy was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Mount Vernon. Some of her favorite activities included working in her flower garden and on her stained glass windows. Most of all, she loved being around her friends and family. 

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Young and Steven (Deborah) Young; grandchildren, Jason (Anna) Young, Joshua (Tirza) Young, Jared (Rachel) Young and Brennen Young; a sister, Sally Jane (Bob) Davis; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Mary Jane; and canine companion, Louis. 

Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Young; a sister, Barbara Stout; and brothers, Bill Stout and Frank Stout. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, from 1-2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens starting at 3 p.m., with Charles Blubaugh officiating.
