Boil advisory issued for part of Mount Vernon

The City of Mount Vernon issued a boil advisory for parts of the community late Wednesday afternoon.

The advisory was issued for Snowden, Clinton, Brook Run, Longitude & Latitude, Old Mansfield (North of Clinton intersection), Hewitt, Fearn, Pearl, and Grange at 4:30 p.m. 

The notice was posted on the city's Facebook page, but did not appear on the city's official website. 

As of 10:45 a.m. Thursday, the order remained in place.
