MOUNT VERNON – Rose M. Hayes (neé Burns), 54, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1, 2020.
Though Rose had many struggles in life, she genuinely cared for those who were close to her, and had boundless love and empathy for animals, including her beloved dog, Petey Pablo.
She is survived by her brother, Edward Horn; sister, Anita Burns; son, Jeremy Hayes; nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and a daughter who is eternally grateful for Rose's compassionate choice to place her for adoption.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's name may be made to the animal charity of your choice.
