Ariel-Foundation Park's Halloween Hootenanny will have local musicians, storytellers, photo opportunities and a scavenger hunt for guests to enjoy. The park is encouraging guests to stagger their arrival times in order to limit crowd size. Last names starting with A-F arrive at 4 p.m., G-M at 4:20 p.m., N-S at 4:40 p.m. and T-Z at 5 p.m. Protective facial masks are required when appropriate social distancing isn't possible. If there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled.

Viewers will go on a journey with a Holocaust survivor into the depths of darkness and surface in the light. The Knox County Park District will hold a drive-by donation drop-off at Wolf Run Regional Park. This event benefits the Knox Animal Shelter and the needs they have for those dogs up for adoption. Donors are asked to bring a box of Milk-Bone Dog Treats or Pedigree Dentastix as a donation to the Dogs of Knox and their partnership with the Knox County Animal Shelter.

Join the Knox County Park District for Pumpkins in the Park at Wolf Run Regional Park. This event will feature carved pumpkins illuminating the Storybook Trail on a fall night hike through the park. The public is invited to attend as well as participate by creating a carved pumpkin relating to a storybook character or book title for the display. Drop-off for the pumpkins will be Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon.
