Local students earn scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University
BEREA – Students from our area were among nearly 600 first-year enrollees welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who earned over $10.2 million in scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements.
The following local students earned scholarships:
Destanie Hecht of Butler, a graduate of Wooster High School majoring in chemistry, earned a $17,000 Dean's Scholarship.
Kaleigh Loyd of Mount Vernon, a graduate of Danville Local High School majoring in public health, earned a $17,000 Dean's Scholarship.
BW's merit scholarships are awarded to full-time students and are renewable up to four years with good academic and social standing. BW offers a wide range of financial support to its students— more than $51 million for the 2020-21 academic year.
