Exchange Club brings Healing Field to Ariel-Foundation Park

MOUNT VERNON - The Exchange Club of Mount Vernon and Knox County, in partnership with e-Merge Real Estate, is proud to present 500 American flags on 24-hour display at Ariel-Foundation Park at 10 Pittsburgh Ave. in Mount Vernon from Oct. 16-19 in an event called “Knox County Healing Field: Heroes in Our Lives.”

Flags may be sponsored for $40 each and taken home at the end of the event to continue the tribute throughout the community as they fly proudly at homes and businesses. Donations and flag sponsorships can be made in person at e-Merge Real Estate, 110 Coshocton Ave. in Mount Vernon; online at www.healingfield.org/mountvernon; or at the time of the event.

Flags can be purchased in memory or in honor of:

  • Active duty military
  • Fallen service men and women
  • First responders
  • Heroes in our lives
  • Veterans
  • Celebration of freedom
  • Hometown heroes
A variety of ceremonies will be held throughout the weekend. Additional details can be found on the Facebook event page through The Exchange Club of Mount Vernon and Knox County.

Proceeds from the Healing Field will benefit Knox County youth programs, prevention of child abuse in Knox County and Veterans Matter.

Knox Public Health has a full-time Administrative Assistant position open in our CommunityHealth Center division. Under the direction of the Community Health Center Chief ExecutiveOfficer (CEO), the responsibilities of this executive level administrative position includes, butmay not be limited to: Supporting the CEO by coordinating the Community Health Center CoApplicant board meetings, including, preparing meeting documents, minutes, communicateaccordingly and appropriately with Board members, schedule meetings, appointments and othercalendar events, as requested; management of Health Center policies and procedures to maintaincompliance; manage health center contracts; assist with 340B account management; assistingwith the Health Center HRSA On-Site Visit (OSV); and other administrative duties as requested.Requirements for this administrative support position are: excellent communication, computer,organizational and customer service skills; Minimum eight (8) years’ experience inadministrative secretarial work or administrative program coordination preferred. Previousexperience serving in an administrative support role to organization administrator(s) for at leastfour (4) years and/or experience coordinating legal/fiscal aspects of administrative programssuch as human resources, finance, etc. a plus. Minimum of an associate degree; bachelor degreepreferred.This position is full-time (40 hours) with normal hours M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Hours mayvary) and include occasional evenings and weekends. Multiple office locations within KnoxCounty associated with this position.
