The Ohio Scenic Rivers Program is hosting its Virtual Mohican Crawdad Derby: Crawdad Hunt. Participants have until 6 p.m on Friday, Sept. 11, to catch a crawdad, photograph and measure it, and email the photo to Carolyn.Mestemaker@dnr.state.oh.us. Kick off autumn with Velvet Ice Cream's Fall Into Fall! Several different crafters will be selling their merchandise from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Velvet's front parking lot. There will also be a fishing tournament hosted by Curtis Kustom Lures from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Three age groups (2-6, 7-12 and 13-18) will compete to catch the most fish. You can sign up at Velvet Ice Cream on the day of the event.

The Friends of the Mohican Watershed will host the third annual Mohican River Cleanup. This is an effort to clean up not only the river but also Wally Road between Loudonville and Greer. Please email mohicanriverfriends@gmail.com or sign up via their Facebook page.

Elementary craft bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. This will be held until Dec 14.

A Family Feud game night will be hosted by the Ariel-Foundation Park. Half Baked Cafe and Catering will sponsor the event. It will be a live competition for adults 18 and over. This is a free activity, but masks are required and participants will be socially distanced. Park event facilitator Ian Ernsberger will serve as the game host. Knox Foodies is hosting a Food Truck Rally in collaboration with Central Ohio Food Truck Association (COFTA) and Ariel-Foundation Park. The event will feature up to 20 food trucks from Knox and surrounding counties. Customers will need to order either online on your computer/laptop (http://www.streetfoodfinder.com/ArielFoundationPark) or through the Street Food Finder app on your phone/tablet. Pre-ordering can begin four days in advance of the event but no later than 45 minutes in advance.
