On Tuesday, the Mount Vernon News honored its five award-winning reporters and designers from the 2019 Ohio APME newspaper contest. From left, City Editor Nick Sabo was third in the state for editorial writing, Ad Design Manager Joshua Worster finished first for illustration, Designer Paula Walton was the top graphic artist, former News Education Reporter Katie Ellington grabbed second for enterprise reporting and Photographer Joshua Morrison was first in video and runner-up as photographer.
