MOUNT VERNON — On Friday, Feb. 14, surrounded by family, Jane, 78, of Mount Vernon, was welcomed into the loving arms of God.
Daughter of Raymond and Martha McDonald, she was a 1959 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. Jane loved traveling, shopping, reading, spending time with her family, and attending church with her family. She was a long-time member of Owl Creek Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Dogwood Blossoms chapter of Sweet Adelines, The Red Hat Society, and long-time member of the medical community of Mount Vernon. She was loving, kind, graceful, and the most genuine woman you would ever meet. She left a great impact on all of the people she met.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gene Yarman; her five children, Tim Yarman, Seth Yarman, Sara (David) Hile, Heather Yarman Baer, and Laura Yarman; thirteen grandchildren, TJ (Carmen) Yarman, Eric Yarman, Erin (Bill) Cottrell, Noah Yarman, Taylor Yarman, Adam Hile, Kelly Hile, Robbie (Julia) Baer, Josh Baer, Michael Bear, Allyson (Cory) Wood, Jacklyn Heaton, and Jake Heaton; and six great-grandchildren, Lia Marie Yarman, Emma Yarman, Barric Cottrell, Calen Cottrell, Padraic Wood, and Gabriel Wood.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Martha McDonald, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Esther Yarman.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Capital City Hospice or a cancer fund of your choice in Jane’s name. Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, from 1-3 p.m., at Owl Creek Church of the Brethren, 13241 Toms Road, Bellville, with services immediately following.
