MOUNT VERNON — Ryan Joseph Marshall, 31, of Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 28, 2020, surrounded by his family.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Penny Haynes; father, William (Gina) Marshall; daughter, Madilyn Elizabeth; sisters, Demi (Michael) Dye, Elesha Haynes and Brandi Edwards; brothers, Elgin Haynes and Elijah Haynes; nieces, Paisley Dye and Scarlett Dye; grandmothers, Connie (Don) Tuggle and Phyllis Cloran; grandfather Herbert Wood; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ryan was born in Mount Vernon on Sept. 25, 1988, and graduated with high honors from Fredericktown High School in 2007. He was a true inspiration to so many of the lives that he touched. Ryan loved the outdoors, movies, music and computers. He was gifted in mathematics, thrived on constant learning and had a wonderful sense of humor.
The words that best describe Ryan: He was as gentle as a lamb with the heart of a lion.
The family will gather for a private rembrance and celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made through Gofundme for Ryan’s final expenses. Any excess money will be donated to the National Psoriasis Foundation in Ryan’s memory.
