MOUNT VERNON — A new boutique in town called The Wardrobe Vault has recently opened its doors to offer the sale of fashionable clothing and other accessories.
The boutique’s owner, Nicole Bouchard, initially thought that her now-booming small business was going to be something that she was going to have as a side hobby in her life. Now, with a completely new and expanded location on South Main Street, Bouchard sees the true scope and importance of her clothing business.
The boutique sells new clothing as well as clothing purchased from members of the Mount Vernon and Knox County community. In this way, the boutique blends the new with the old and gives back to the community by purchasing clothing directly from the people who live among us.
The boutique offers a wide variety and size selection of clothing and even sells other fashionable items as well.
The Wardrobe Vault is keeping up with the times by not only giving wardrobe advice to people, but also offering online shopping services for the wide variety of products that the boutique has to offer. The technologically adaptable boutique utilizes Facebook to sell to people who would rather shop online than in the store.
“Depending on what my customer is shopping for, I would explain to them that we have a wide variety of price ranges, so anywhere from $3 to $5 and $20 to $25, depending on what they are looking for,” said Bouchard. “I carry all seasons all year long. I also do Facebook ‘lives’ and sell things through Facebook once a week, so if you have a schedule that isn’t really flexible or it’s hard for you to get out and shop, you can follow us on Facebook and buy things that way too.”
Bouchard has a message for the people in the community who might be thinking of shopping at the boutique this holiday season.
“Shop local,” said Bouchard. “Come here before you travel out of town, and if there is ever a time that someone wants to stop in and we’re not open, just contact me and I can make arrangements for someone to be here.”
The boutique is located on 605 S. Main St. For more information call 740-326-1119.
