MOUNT VERNON — Motown Sounds of Touch will perform Motown favorites in concert at Ariel-Foundation Park Saturday, Aug. 17. The event is free. Guests may bring their own chairs or use those provided by the park.
The Drew Allan Duo opens at 6 p.m. and Motown Sounds of Touch will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Motown Sounds of Touch has been entertaining and delighting audiences all over the country for more than 15 years. Their energetic dance performances and engaging personalities have brought many an audience to their feet. Nearly 10 million viewers saw them perform and become a Top 3 finalist on the NBC television show “The Winner Is,” hosted by Nick Lachey. Motown Sounds of Touch was recently the featured entertainment at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Motown Sounds of Touch members have shared center stage with Al Greene, Lou Gramm, The Temptations, Night Ranger, Eddie Money, The Isley Brothers, The Spinners, Rick Springfield, Percy Sledge, the legendary Ray Charles, Tommy James and The Shondells, Mickey Thomas and Starship and Peter Noone/Herman’s Hermits just to name a few. They have written songs for many Motown artists and even the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson.
The band sings smash hits from artists such as The Four Tops; Earth, Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, The O’Jays, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Luther Vandross, The Commodores and many more!

Food vendors will be on hand an hour prior to the concert and include Big Pappy’s BBQ, Kent’s Cones, Squeals on Wheels, Domino’s and B.H. Coffee. Beer/wine will also be available. No outside food or beverages may be brought into the Event Center. Pets and smoking are prohibited in the event center and within the fence surrounding it.
