MOUNT VERNON — Kathleen M. Evans-Hatton, 64, of Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born June 24, 1954, in Columbus, the daughter of Cecil and Marie Evans. Kathleen was a 1973 graduate of Northridge High School and worked several years for Tech Rubber in Johnstown. She also served as property manager of Cedar Gate Apartments in Englewood. Most recently Kathleen served as a leasing agent and property manager of 130-plus units.
She enjoyed working with stained glass, shopping, traveling and taking care of her flower and herb gardens. Kathleen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fredericktown.
She is survived by her husband, David Hatton; a sister, Mary Moore of Johnstown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Evans; two sisters, Patricia Hooley and Judith Carter.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 15, beginning at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fredericktown, 22 E. Sandusky St., Fredericktown. Pastor Andy Angel will be officiating.
Memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to Hospice of Knox County, First Baptist Church of Fredericktown or Knox County Humane Society.
