West Holmes Knights Girls Volleyball

West Holmes (2-9, 1-6) snapped a seven-game losing streak and handed Mansfield Senior (0-12, 0-6) their 20th straight loss dating back to last season with a 3-1 win for the Knights on Tuesday night in OCC action. Mansfield Senior came out on a vengeance in the first set with hopes of turning things around, beating West Holmes 25-19 in set one. The Tygers, however, couldn’t keep the momentum in the match, and West Holmes went on to win 25-20, 25-18 and 25-20.

Mount Vernon, Lexington, Madison Comprehensive and Wooster all won mid-week volleyball matches this week.

Sidney Vandall provided some firepower on offense for New Philadelphia (5-1, 4-0) with a match-high 11 kills in a sweep victory over West Holmes (1-5, 0-4) in OCC action on August 31.
