Lexington Minutemen Football

While the matchup between West Holmes (5-2, 3-1) and Lexington (3-4, 2-2) was close to start with the Minutemen holding a one-touchdown lead at the end of the first, Quarterback Morgan Smith went off for more than 450 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns, as the Knights exploded with a 62-28 win in front of a home crowd.

The Lexington Minutemen lost Friday's home conference game against Mansfield Senior Tygers by a score of 37-10.

Lexington (8-2, 5-2) has been red hot with five straight wins, and on Tuesday the Minutemen swept New Philadelphia (5-4, 4-3) with Ava Brown piling on kills and assists in the win.

Mount Vernon (1-3, 0-1) couldn’t handle the duo of Joe Caudill and Markale Martin of Lexington (2-2, 1-0), who ran all over the Yellow Jackets for nearly 300 yards combined in a 31-17 win.
