Individual cases of COVID-19 no longer being investigated

Knox Public Health has announced it is no longer conducting individual case investigation and contract tracing for positive cases of COVID-19. The action follows last week’s recommendation from the Ohio Department of Health that due to the quick spread of the Omicron variant and newly reduced timelines for quarantine and isolation, case investigation and exposure notification are impractical.

Vaccine for flu and COVID-19 to be offered at drive-through clinic

To meet the demand for COVID-19 vaccine and prepare for the upcoming flu season, Knox Public Health will conduct a drive-thru clinic offering vaccines for both COVID-19 and seasonal flu. The two-for-one event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Knox County Fairgrounds. Administration of all vaccine will take place while individuals are in their vehicle.
