On the day Kenyon College celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1972 football team, the only undefeated squad in program history, and in a game in which Zachary Kim set a achool record for receving yards, the Owls fell to DePauw University (7-1, 5-1 NCAC), the North Coast Athletic Conference leaders, 58-35 dropping to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the NCAC.

The Kenyon College women’s soccer team earned a massive win over rival Denison University (4-8-4, 3-1-2 NCAC), securing a 2-0 shutout on their home turf. The win propelled the Owls to the top of the North Coast Athletic Conference standings and gave Kenyon the inside track for a regular-season championship.

Kenyon made an impressive second-half comeback for the third week in a row, overcoming a 17-7 deficit with four second-half touchdowns to hand Hiram College (1-6, 1-5 NCAC) a 34-31 defeat. The Kenyon College women’s soccer team played to its third tie of the season, drawing even with Hanover College (4-2-1) at 2-2 on the road after full time.The home team needed just 30 seconds to get on the board, taking the opening kickoff down the field and taking a 1-0 lead after an assist. Kenyon took three consecutive shots over the next few minutes, including two on-target attempts, as they looked to pull even early, but Jackie Thompson, Hailey Moss, and Jenna Michel came up empty as Hanover’s keeper secured two saves.The Owls bounced back and made it a 1-1 game in the 19th minute.
