The Church of the Nazarene announced on June 18 that its newly established Quezon-Marinduque and Mindoro districts in the Philippines have held their first-ever Nazarene Youth International (NYI) camps. These events brought together young people to strengthen their faith, encounter Christ, and respond to calls for ministry.

The Quezon-Marinduque District organized its inaugural youth camp, themed “Reignite,” from May 19-21 at Spring Life Con in General Luna, Quezon. Shortly after, the Mindoro District’s NYI conducted its first district youth camp under the theme “Ignite” from May 26-29.

Both camps aimed to inspire a generation of young believers to live passionately for Christ and embrace their callings. The Reignite camp drew inspiration from 2 Timothy 1:6 and included worship services, preaching, prayer encounters, and fellowship. The event concluded with the baptism of 11 young participants who publicly declared their faith.

In Mindoro District’s Ignite camp, 62 youths from five local churches participated in worship services, team-building activities, discipleship opportunities, and fellowship sessions designed to foster unity among congregations. A distinctive aspect was shared preaching by district pastors. The event also saw the baptism of 17 young people.

Altogether, both camps celebrated a total of 28 baptisms among young believers. According to the Church of the Nazarene Asia-Pacific Region report published on June 18, these gatherings provided spaces where lives were transformed and faith was strengthened.
