The Knox County Foundation has introduced Summer Youth Enrichment Grants, a new program focused on addressing financial challenges that limit youth participation in summer and extracurricular activities.

The program was created to expand access to meaningful experiences and ensure more local young people can learn, engage, and succeed beyond the classroom.

In its first round of funding, four organizations received support. SPI was awarded $10,300 for its Summer Enrichment Camps, and MTVarts received $10,000 to advance its Education Taking Wing Programming. The Knox County Family and Children First Council also secured $10,000 for its Intentional Funding Program, while The Gund at Kenyon College received $6,000 to launch its Summer Camp Series for Middle Schoolers and Teens.

The Foundation is also proud to announce that the Board approved $289,660 in grants benefiting 44 organizations through 21 Donor Advised Funds. Recommended by fund advisors between Dec. 2 and Feb. 10, these grants stand as a testament to the ongoing commitment of donors to local charitable work.

The upcoming competitive grant cycle will close on April 15 with Expression of Intent due by March 15. This round will be limited to grants of $10,000 or less. Additional details are available at http://www.knoxcf.org/
