Registration has opened for the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association's (OEFFA) 47th annual conference. The event, themed "Finding Common Ground," will occur from February 13 to February 15, 2026, at Cherry Valley Hotel in Newark, Ohio. Khara Strum, OEFFA Executive Director, said, "We are excited to gather in community around sustainable and organic farming in February. The last year has been difficult for many, and we know how uplifting gathering together can be. Our format this year will allow for greater connection between attendees while still offering curated content."
The conference is set to be smaller and more intimate than previous years. Online registration and the full schedule are available at conference.oeffa.org. Anneliese Abbott will deliver the keynote address on February 14 with a presentation titled "Working Together for Organic." She will discuss the diverse backgrounds of organic farmers and explore the future of organic farming.
Full-day classes on February 13 include topics such as farm labor issues, fruit tree fundamentals, grazing strategies, and an organic system plan workshop. Over the course of the conference, fifteen educational workshops across five tracks will cover subjects like artisanal meat production and value-added local food.
The event also features social activities such as an open mic night and film screenings. Registration is limited to 200 participants due to space constraints, with online registration closing on February 5 or when capacity is reached.
