A volunteer at the Knox County Ohio Dog Shelter, Bill Capsole, has reached a significant milestone by completing his 1,000th dog walk this year. Capsole began volunteering at the shelter after experiencing personal loss and health challenges. His involvement with the shelter has contributed positively to his health and well-being.

Capsole volunteers several days each week and has adopted two dogs from the shelter. The facility relies on a dedicated group of volunteers who ensure that dogs are walked twice daily when the shelter is open.

To honor Capsole's achievement, a celebration is planned for Wednesday, December 17, at Pizza Cottage in Mount Vernon at 6 p.m. Community members are invited to join the event.
