Christ the King Community Church will present The Greatest Gift, a Christmas play highlighting themes of love, compassion and sacrifice, during three performances next week.
Performances are scheduled for Dec. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m., with a matinee Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Community Church, 15598 McClelland Road in Fredericktown. Each show will run about 90 minutes.
Admission is free and open to the public. Families and community members are encouraged to attend together.

The production follows the story of three best friends whose words and actions reflect the message of Christ, bringing the birth of Jesus to life through story and song. Church leaders said the play is designed to remind audiences of the true meaning of Christmas.
"This inspiring production reminds us all of the true meaning of Christmas — love, compassion, and sacrifice," the organizers added. "Bring your family and friends to celebrate The Greatest Gift of all — Jesus!"
