The Homer Public Library has announced a series of events for December 2025, offering activities for various age groups and interests.
On Wednesday, December 3, at 10:00 am, the library will host a Christmas Story Time with Miss Shaunta for children from birth to preschool age. Registration is necessary to ensure adequate resources for all participants.
The annual Christmas Cookie Exchange is scheduled for Friday, December 5, at 10:00 am. Participants are encouraged to bring four dozen cookies along with their recipes and an appetizer to share. Attendees will have the opportunity to take home a selection of cookies. Bringing a container for the cookies is advised.
Teen Crafting with Miss Lauren will take place on Tuesday, December 9, at 5:30 pm. Teens can create Mason Jar Lid Christmas ornaments using provided supplies. Registration is required.
Miss Shaunta will lead the Homer Homeschoolers program on Thursday, December 11, at 10:00 am. This month's theme is "All About the Human Body," featuring diverse learning activities.
Also on December 11, at 5:00 pm, the Ukulele Association of Homer invites ukulele enthusiasts to practice and share their passion in an informal setting. An experienced player will offer free lessons, and ukuleles are available for lending.
On Tuesday, December 16, at 2:00 pm, the Community of Women gathering will provide an opportunity for women to connect and support each other through life's challenges as they grow older together.
Later that day at 5:30 pm, teens can participate in Teen Paint Night to paint a Snoopy Christmas picture with all supplies provided. Registration is necessary.
A Teen Movie & Pizza Night featuring "Gremlins" (1984) will be held on Thursday, December 18, at 5:00 pm. The event includes pizza and soft drinks; registration is required by Wednesday, December 17.
Finally, the Book Club meeting on Friday, December 19, at 11:00 am invites participants to share their favorite book of the year. Attendees should bring a copy of their chosen book.
