Hi! I’m Joslyn Snyder, and I’m a freshman at Utica High School. I’m part of both the cross-country and wrestling teams, which keep me pretty busy — but I love being involved. Balancing sports and school can be a lot sometimes, but I’m really dedicated to my academics and proud of the grades I’ve earned so far.
Even though I spend a lot of time training and studying, I make sure to have fun too. I love hanging out with my friends, playing with my cats, working out, and cooking when I have free time.
My first year of high school has been going really well. It definitely feels different from middle school, but I’ve gotten used to it and enjoy the new routines and freedom that come with high school.
My favorite subject right now is math. I’m taking Advanced Geometry with Mr. Gregory. I like that class because I have a lot of friends in it, and we can joke around while still getting our work done. Plus, we do most of the assignments in class, so there isn’t much homework — which is always nice!
Even though I enjoy Geometry, my favorite teacher is Mr. Caples. He’s super friendly and laid back, and he always says random things that make everyone laugh — even when he doesn’t mean to.
