The Church at Chapel Hill is anticipating to welcome more than 500 guests to its Community Fall Fest '25 on Sunday, Oct. 19.

The event, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is open to all and offers something for every age. Community members are encouraged to register for a Trunk or Treat parking space and be part of the celebration. The trunk with the most outstanding decoration will receive a $100 prize sponsored by Courtney Lynn’s Photography.

"We’re expecting around 500 kids, so please plan accordingly when preparing treats and decorations," the signup form reads. "We kindly ask that you avoid any gore or scary themes—let’s keep things fun and family-friendly!"

Other highlights of the event include carnival games with prizes, bounce houses, live music, a youth volleyball tournament, and adult bingo. Admission is free, and food will be available from local food trucks, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the church’s Kids Ministry.

The Fall Fest follows the church’s milestone 30th anniversary service earlier this month, held on Sunday, Oct. 12, which featured complimentary coffee and donuts, a choir performance, and a special morning worship led by Pastor Jon Whisner. The anniversary celebration drew members, families, and guests in thanksgiving for three decades of ministry in the Mount Vernon community.

The Church at Chapel Hill continues to hold Sunday services at 10 a.m., welcoming both longtime members and newcomers. Organizers encourage residents to “mark their calendars, invite a friend, and join in the fun” on Oct. 19.

For more information about the Fall Fest or church services, residents can contact the Church at Chapel Hill office or visit during Sunday worship. Services are held at 7530 Johnstown Rd., Mount Vernon. The church is adjacent to the Chapel Hill Golf Course, according to its website.
