Twenty members met on Friday, September 12, 2025, for the monthly meeting of Morgan Grange with Master Will Smith presiding. Roll call was taken, and minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Morgan will be providing a meal for the bands performing at the Ariel Foundation Park on Saturday, September 13. Names submitted for the Community Service Awards were Tom Holton, Jamee Borders, and Rob Harmon. Pomona Grange will meet at Morgan on Monday, September 15, for the installation of officers and the judging of the craft, needlework, and photography entries. Morgan will operate a food stand at the Utica Homecoming, which will be held October 1 through October 4. Hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be 4 pm till close, with Saturday hours of 11 am till close.
Will Smith was nominated to serve as Master for the upcoming year, with all other officers remaining the same as this year. Ned Campbell volunteered to serve as the Legislative Agent for next year. Dee Smith reported that the pop stand booth won a trophy for Best Vendor Christmas display at the Knox County Fair. We received an informational letter concerning Bonding and the Officers and Chairman's report form.
Concerns were expressed for Tom Debolt, Jim Hughes, Barb Bower, Phyllis Lewis, and Rita Smith. Members with birthdays include Darrell Bebout, Barb Bower, Steve Chadwick, Imogene Hanes, Gary Kohl, Jerry Lewis, Bob Smith, and Anissa Ward. Larry and Judy Williams have an anniversary this month.
Cindy Campbell read a poem entitled 'The Cowboy Pocket Knife'. Morgan members will meet again on Friday, October 10, at 7:30 pm.
