United Way of Knox County's Day of Caring unites over 100 volunteers for community projects

United Way of Knox County recently held its annual Day of Caring 2025, engaging over 100 volunteers in 11 community projects throughout Mount Vernon. The event saw participation from a diverse group of community members, including partner agencies like Knox County Head Start, Knox Public Health, and New Directions. Local businesses and educational institutions also took part, with volunteers from Park National Bank, Kenyon College, Mount Vernon High School, Kokosing Construction, Atlas Health and Wellness, The Alpha and Georgia House, and Heating and Cooling Products contributing their efforts.

The projects were conducted at various local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Freedom Center, Ariel Foundation Park, Knox County Head Start, The Winter Sanctuary, and SPI. United Way of Knox County expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who contributed their time and effort to the event. A particular acknowledgment was given to Park National Bank for sponsoring the Day of Caring 2025.
