The Danville Local School District Board of Education convened for its regular meeting on September 15, 2025, at the district office located at 203 Richards Street. The meeting began with the call to order and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a roll call of board members.

Sierra Shields took the oath as the student representative for the 2025/2026 school year. The board approved both the prepared agenda and minutes from previous meetings held on August 18 and August 20, upon recommendation from the Superintendent.

A potential date change for the October meeting was discussed due to a forecast filing deadline. Various reports were presented by principals, special education coordinators, and other representatives

The Treasurer's report included a monthly financial overview and approval of invoices. Notably, donations were accepted from Danville United Methodist Church ($500) for elementary needs and Dirkos Pizza ($50) for Danville Performing Arts.

An executive session was scheduled to discuss various personnel matters and legal issues. During this session, Jennifer Stutz resigned as a cafeteria worker effective September 30 but was to take on a custodian role starting October 1.

Volunteers Emily Odu and Logan Meyer were approved for band activities. Substitute teachers were also approved as recommended by Timm Mackley, Superintendent of Knox ESC. The board authorized student activity budgets and P.E. waivers for students involved in equine therapy.

Resignations included Matthew Blum as Head Track Coach, CeCe Newbold as Jr. High Basketball Coach - Girls, Morgen Blum as Jr. High Track Coach, and Victoria Muschott as Jr. High Cheerleader Advisor.

New appointments included Carol Newbold and Brent Kaylor as Jr. High Basketball Coaches - Girls, Joshua Wittel as Head Wrestling Coach, and Taylor Johnston as Jr. High Cheerleader Advisor.

The board also approved Aubrey Egan as a volunteer for softball activities.

Discussion items covered strategic sustainability plans, construction updates, future athletic facilities purchases, and exit slips.
