Danville Public Library is hosting a series of community events aimed at engaging residents in educational and social activities.
Every Monday, the library offers a storytime session for children aged 3 to 6 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The program includes a story followed by either a craft or game. Participation is free, but registration is required, which can be done at the library or by calling 740-599-2665. The event will not take place if schools are closed or during holidays.
Additionally, the library's women’s support group, Womenlead Wednesday, provides an opportunity for women in the community to connect and discuss various topics such as parenting and health issues. These sessions occur on the third Wednesday of each month—September 17, October 15, November 19, and December 16, 2025—from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Danville Community Council Room. Attendance is free and does not require prior registration.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., there will be a book discussion on "Women's Hotel" by Daniel M. Lavery in the Danville Council Room. This event is also free and open to all members of the public, with books available at the library.
