The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team continued its unbeaten streak with a 2-1 victory over Indiana University East on Wednesday at CH4 Stadium. The Cougars, now holding a record of 4-0-2, took the lead in the eighth minute with a goal from Max Walker, assisted by Miguel Bello. Indiana University East's Cruz Jafri equalized in the 23rd minute, ending the first half at 1-1.

In the second half, Bello scored again in the 76th minute with an assist from Baba Sarr, securing the win for MVNU. The Cougars dominated with 30 shots compared to IU East's 18 and had 12 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Brayden Pierson played a crucial role by making ten saves during the match.

Looking ahead, MVNU will travel to face Cleary University in Michigan on Saturday, September 13, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
