Knox County hosts diverse fall events including SpongeBob musical

Upcoming events in Knox County are drawing attention, with a variety of performances and gatherings scheduled for the fall season. The Mount Vernon Arts Consortium is presenting "The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition," supported by Ariel Corporation and the Knox Head Start Parent Support Initiative. The musical will feature songs from artists such as Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, and more. Performances are set for September 12-14 at various times.

Another event is the Backyard Biergarten Sunset Social at Ariel-Foundation Park on September 18. This event offers craft beer tastings, food, and live music by Linden and Melvin. Tickets are required for entry, with options available for those not participating in the tasting.

Foghat's "Slow Ride 50th Anniversary Tour" will take place at the Knox Memorial Theater on October 25 as part of the Knox Memorial 100th Anniversary Season. The concert promises a night of classic blues-rock music.

Looking ahead to 2025, CES Credit Union will host a free community concert featuring McGuffey Lane and Allison Road at Ariel-Foundation Park. This family-friendly event aims to bring together music lovers with a mix of classic hits and new tunes.

Other notable events include Teresa's "Long Long Time" show on September 27 at Knox Memorial Theater, celebrating Linda Ronstadt's music; a children's concert with art activities provided by Kenyon College's Gund Gallery on September 28; and a free community concert at Schnormeier Event Center on October 9 to celebrate local greenspace organizations' anniversaries.
