Experience Mount Vernon has announced that its First Fridays series has been recognized as the "Best Summer Festival" by Midwestern Traveler Magazine in their 2025 Best in Ohio awards. This recognition highlights Mount Vernon's growing status as a hub for community events in Central Ohio.

Downtown Mount Vernon received several accolades in this year's Best in Ohio rankings. The Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival was named the "Best Art Fair/Festival," the Mount Vernon Grand Hotel was awarded "Best Historic Hotel," and the South Main Plaza Dog Fountain received the title of "Best Street Art."
